Crush by David Archuleta

on Thursday, February 25, 2010

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time
Deep inside it was a rush, what a rush

Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way
About me, just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it really just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Cause I've tried and tried to walk away
But I know this crush ain?t going away-ay-ay
Going away-ay-ay

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging, spending time girl?
Are we just friends? Is there more? Is there more?

See it's a chance we've gotta take
Cause I believe that we can make this into
Something that will last, last forever, forever!

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we could be, where this thing could go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it really just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Cause I've tried and tried to walk away
But I know this crush ain?t going away-ay-ay
Going away-ay-ay

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we could be, where this thing could go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it really just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Cause I've tried and tried to walk away
But I know this crush ain?t going away-ay-ay
This crush ain't going away-ay-ay

Going away
Going away-ay-ay
Going away-ay-ay

The Miracle of Migration in Animals - Harun Yahya

Engineers and experts use such know-how to design new planes, examine the effects of magnetic fields and develop techniques to safeguard against mishaps.

However, it is not only people with special training who make use of this knowledge.

Albatrosses fly on month-long journeys of 15,000 kilometers (9,300 miles) without once coming down to land. Swallows fly around the world during their migrations. Swarming locusts can cover a distance of 3,000 kilometers (1,800 miles). Newly hatched eels begin a journey of 6,000 kilometers (3,700 miles).

Whales and many other living creatures act on the basis of this technical knowledge. Throughout their lives, these creatures— ranging in weight from 35 to 40 gm (1.2 to 1.4 ounces) in the case of the lightest, up to 130 tons for the heaviest—travel constantly. Many animals set off on journeys of different lengths for different reasons. Sometimes from one garden to another, from one nest to another, or from one continent to another. By air: bats, spiders, butterflies, ducks and geese; by land: elephants, zebras, bison, snakes, frogs and locusts; by sea: lobsters, whales, salmon, sea urchins and starfish. These migrations all create a necessary balance in the animals’ lives. The ways in which various species manage to follow their long and arduous migration routes so perfectly have interested scientists for many years and been the subject of many research projects.

In their search for answers on this subject, scientists encounter a serious problem. What impels animals to leave their habitat and use up a great deal of energy and time traveling such distances?

Different species migrate for different reasons. Some set off on their journeys to find food, while others set off to reach their breeding grounds. Others abandon the environment where they were born when living conditions change. However diverse the reasons behind animal migration, there is one common factor: In each and every animal species from great to small, and in each kind of migration, great order and skill is evident.

First, in order to go from one place to another, a creature must know three things: its current location, its destination or target, and the route that it must follow to get there. In addition, migrating animals need to have sound knowledge of their current habitat’s location, since they must use this information on their return. They must also know what conditions will be awaiting them when they reach the end of migration, sometimes tens of thousands of kilometers (hundreds of miles) away.

Historically, human explorers and seafarers have used the Sun and the stars to establish their location. In our day, fine measurements can be made using satellite-based technology. Migrating animals have been created to possess this technology from the moment they enter the world. They successfully complete long journeys using the special systems created for them by God, and with His inspiration.

This book will demonstrate the magnificence of God’s creation in the remarkable migratory journeys that animals undertake. Once again, we can witness the endless power of our Lord. As it is revealed in the Qur’an:

We will show them Our signs on the horizon and within themselves until it is clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not enough for your Lord that He is a witness of everything? What! Are they in doubt about the meeting with their Lord? What! Does He not encompass all things? (Qur’an, 41:53-54)

PROPHET SOLOMON (pbuh) - Harun Yahya

The Qur'an was sent down to humanity as a guide to the right path and for obtaining God's mercy. It gives important knowledge about what Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) did, his message to unbelievers, and his struggle to spread God's religion. It also gives important information about the lives of Prophet Moses, Prophet Joseph, Prophet Jesus, Prophet Jonah, Prophet Lot , Prophet Noah, Prophet Shu'aib, and Prophet Salih (peace be upon them all). Like our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace), they invited people to faith in God, warned them about the afterlife, and relayed true religion so that their people would adopt high moral standards.

Its verses advise and admonish people by describing the prophets' high morality, sincere prayers, behavior in difficult circumstances, and determined efforts to fulfill their mission. In addition, it advises people to obey His prophets and follow the path that they have shown, and announces the good tidings that as people advance along the path, they will live without fear or sorrow in this world and the world to come (Qur'an, 7:35). The Qur'an informs us that God sends prophets for one purpose:

We sent no Messenger except to be obeyed by God's permission… (Qur'an, 4:64)

One of these worthy individuals is Prophet Solomon (pbuh), a descendant of Prophet Noah (pbuh), who was given sublime knowledge of the right path by God. In the Qur'an, this command relating to Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is given:

… And before him We had guided Noah. And among his descendants were David and Solomon, Job and Joseph, and Moses and Aaron. That is how We recompense the good-doers. (Qur'an, 6:84)

God sent Prophet Solomon (pbuh) to the Tribe of Israel to warn them and instill fear in them:

We have revealed to you, just as We revealed to Noah and the Prophets who came after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Tribes, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon. And We gave David the Psalms. (Qur'an, 4:163)

We gave (to) David Solomon. What an excellent servant! He truly turned toward his Lord.
(Qur’an, 38:30)

As this book explains, God bestowed a great kingdom, incomparable wealth, a mighty army supported by jinns and birds, and superior knowledge upon Prophet Solomon (pbuh). He ruled justly throughout his life and, in his capacity as an administrator and a judge, brought many societies under his dominion. He was aware that God, Lord of the Worlds, is the true possessor of all knowledge, riches, and dominion, and so always turned to Him (Qur'an, 38:30), bowed to Him, and submitted to Him.

This book will acquaint people with Prophet Solomon (pbuh), whom God made superior to other human beings, and analyze this chosen servant's exemplary moral qualities. As we examine what the Qur'an says about him, we will see that each of his qualities can be related to our own lives.

We will also study Prophet Solomon's (pbuh) story for information about the End Times, a period during which the Qur'an's moral teachings will prevail; all immorality, oppression, cruelty, injustice, and degeneration of the past eras will vanish; anxiety will be replaced by every kind of blessing, abundance, wealth, beauty, peace, and well-being; and technological developments will provide human beings with happiness and comfort.

The hadiths contain many descriptions of the End Times. For example, God will destroy all atheistic philosophies and ideologies through the Mahdi, who will guide humanity to the right path, and bring all cruelty and chaos in the world to an end. The Mahdi's most important duty will be to restore religion to its original form under our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace), make the Qur'an's moral teaching prevail, and establish global peace and well-being. In the hadith below, our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) draws our attention to a quality that is shared by the Mahdi, Prophet Solomon (pbuh), and Dhu'l-Qarnayn (pbuh):

The Mahdi will rule Earth, just like Dhu'l-Qarnayn (pbuh) and Prophet Solomon (pbuh. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi 'Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 29)

This hadith indicates that the Mahdi's rule will be similar to that of Prophet Solomon (pbuh) and Dhu'l-Qarnayn (pbuh). Therefore, we can gather important information about the End Times and the ensuing Golden Age by examining the Qur'anic accounts of Prophet Solomon's (pbuh) and Dhu'l-Qarnayn's (pbuh) reigns. (For more details about the connection between the time of Dhu'l-Qarnayn (pbuh) and the End Times, consult Harun Yahya, Signs of the End Times in Surat al-Kahf [New Delhi: Goodword Books, 2004].) Developments in science and technology, as well as advances in economic and social life, that will be enjoyed in the End Times will be very similar to those mentioned in connection with Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Qur'anic account will allow believers to understand what is happening in the world from a broader perspective, and thereby open their horizons. One of this book's goals is to encourage people to think about these good tidings of the End Times and to share the joy and excitement that it will bring.

Wavin Flag - K'naan | OST World Cup 2010

on Wednesday, February 24, 2010

When i get older, they'll call me freedom
Just like a Waving Flag.

[Chorus]
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

Born to a throne, stronger than Rome
but Violent prone, poor people zone,
But it's my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam.
But out of the darkness, I came the farthest,
Among the hardest survival.
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Except no defeat, surrender retreat,

So we struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we'll be free,
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day,
It's not far away, so for now we say

[Chorus]

So many wars, settling scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way,
Love is the answer, that's what they say,
But look how they treat us, Make us believers,
We fight their battles, then they deceive us,
Try to control us, they couldn't hold us,
Cause we just move forward like Buffalo Soldiers.

But we struggling, fighting to eat,
And we wondering, when we'll be free
So we patiently wait, for that faithful day,
It's not far away, but for now we say,

[Chorus] 2x

(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And everybody will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And you and I will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And we all will be singing it
(Ohhh Ohh Ohh Ohh)

[Chorus] 2x

When I get older, when I get older
I will be stronger, just like a Waving Flag,
Just like a Waving Flag, just like a Waving flag
Flag, flag, Just like a Waving Flag

"Novel tentang bacaan shalat anak 6 tahun dengan latar bencana tsunami ini sangat mengharukan. Nilai keikhlasan dengan halus dijalin pengarangnya ke dalam plot cerita dunia kanak-kanak ini. Saya membacanya dengan rasa sentimental, karena selepas tsunami saya pernah bolak-balik ke Lhok Nga itu." -Taufiq Ismail (Penyair)-

Moga Bunda Disayang Alloh by Tere Liye

Karang hampir putus asa. Lalu keajaiban datang. Novel ini cocok untuk dibaca semua kalangan.
